Students will read, discuss and analyze texts dealing with the arts, geography, history, literature, social and cultural practices of the Chinese-speaking world. The course will review the linguistic functions and grammatical structures of intermediary Chinese. Speaking, listening, reading, and writing of third-quarter high intermediate level of Mandarin will be introduced and practiced within a cultural framework.
