A critical analysis of how filmmakers, writers, and other artists from Afro-German, Turkish-German, and other backgrounds are creating new modes of representation that engage with issues of marginalization, ethnicity, citizenship, cultural and linguistic hybridity, gender, post-colonialism, and national identity in the unique German cultural and political context. Course conducted in English.
