    Description
    This course focuses on the acquisition of the four major skills in language learning: listening comprehension, speaking, reading , and writing. Included are the grammar and vocabulary necessary to develop proficiency and communicative competence in these four skill areas. Students are introduced to the culture, customs, history, and geography of Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries through lectures, presentations, photography, videos, film and reading assignments. This course is conducted primarily in Spanish and requires weekly assignments, so students may develop linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding at the elementary level. Pass/No Pass/Letter Grade Option. (CSU/UC Credit Limitation, AA GE, C-ID: SPAN 100)
