Intensive study in the areas of problem solving, stoichiometry, chemical nomenclature, basic atomic theory and bonding, solutions, acid-base chemistry, redox reactions and gas laws. The laboratory will be an introduction to quantitative techniques, descriptive chemistry, gas laws, error analysis, and data treatment.
