    Provides students with practical experience in a variety of advanced leatherworking processes and projects. Covers advanced selection and use of leather stamping, sculpting, cutting and punching tools, and the use of glue, snaps and stitching as fasteners. Includes identification, selection and use of appropriate materials such as cow hides and other natural and human-made products, sourcing materials and tools, estimating the cost of, planning and construction of complex leatherworking projects. Explores the historical-cultural significance and environmental impact of leatherwork and the leather industry.
