    Prepares non-native English language learners for transition to credit classes by developing academic reading, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. Provides instruction in essay writing focusing on the writing process as well as grammar and sentence structure. Offers practice in gathering, analyzing, and communicating information. Integrates digital literacy skills and civics instruction related to researching local educational and career opportunities.
