    Description
    Provides students with the knowledge and skills to manage a variety of medical and traumatic pre-hospital emergencies while awaiting the arrival of additional EMS resources. This course is an introductory course for those interested in Emergency Medical Services or Public Safety (law enforcement, firefighting, lifeguard, etc.) careers. Students will learn utilizing lecture and skills lab practice. This course will also meet the CA Title 22 requirements for Public Safety-First Aid Responder. Students will receive a Certificate of Specialization upon successful course completion and will be eligible to take the National Registry of EMT - EMR exam.
