- Discussion and observation of the physical and historical geology and natural history of the Western Mojave Desert with emphasis in the high desert area of Rainbow Basin. Lectures prior to the field trip and geologic tools will be utilized to observe, explore, and understand the geology of the region of study. Student must attend the field trip or complete an approved alternative assignment to successfully complete the course.
