    Discussion and observation of the physical and historical geology and natural history of the Great Basin of the United States, with specific emphasis on the geology of Eastern Mojave Desert. Lectures prior to the field trip and geologic tools will be utilized to observe, explore, and understand the geology of the Eastern Mojave Desert. Student must attend the field trip or complete an approved alternative assignment to successfully complete the course.
