    WELD 145 Design, Layout & Fabrication Units: 3 Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Prerequisite: None. The WELD 145 Design, Layout & Fabrication course provides the student the opportunity to design a project by sketch or computer-assisted drawing software. The student will learn how to estimate material and labor costs for the fabrication of such a project. Topics such as proper welding and cutting of material with various hand and power tools, industrial machinery and construction techniques will be covered in the lecture and laboratory sections of the course.
