    Description
    WELD 111 Pipe Welding Procedures Units: 4 Hours: 54 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Prerequisite: None. Advisory: WELD 100 with a grade of "C" or better; The student should have a basic understanding of welding. The WELD 111 course specialized in pipe welding procedures with various welding processes. The lecture portion covers safety procedures, machinery and tool operation, welding fundamentals and welding inspection procedures common to ASME and API welding codes. The laboratory portion will cover proper procedures of cutting and welding pipe in various positions and joints to meet or exceed industry standards. The hands-on welding and cutting assignments will prepare the student to be successful in the WELD 151 Industry Training course.
