    Description
    SPAN 426 Introduction to Mexican American Literature Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Prerequisite: SPAN 412 or 415 with a grade of "C" or better, or placement through the assessment process. Transferable: CSU; UC General Education: Local GE L3; Cal-GETC Area 3B This course is an introductory survey to the four genres of Mexican-American literature: Poetry, Narrative, Theatre, and the Essay, and the culture which produced it. Emphasis will be given to 20th century writers and works. This course is conducted in English and Spanish.
