    KINES 416 Psychology of Sport Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Prerequisite: None. Transferable: CSU; UC (effective Fall 2026) General Education: Local GE L4; Local GE L7B This course examines the psychological principles influencing sport, physical activity, and athletic performance. Students explore mental training techniques, motivation, arousal regulation, personality factors, group dynamics, injury rehabilitation, and peak performance through sport and exercise science frameworks. Psychological theories and empirical research are applied to enhance athlete well-being and optimize performance across individual and team settings.
