    HUM 324 Global Islam: Culture and Civilization Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Prerequisite: None. Transferable: CSU; UC General Education: Local GE L3; Cal-GETC Area 3B The course is an introduction to global Islamic cultures from the 7th century to contemporary times, with emphasis on religious/ philosophic concepts, and their expression in literature and the arts. Focus is placed upon Arab, Persian, African, Asian and American contributions. Students may be required to attend a live performance or museum visit.
