Transferable: CSU; UC General Education: Local GE L5; Cal-GETC Area 5A C-ID: C-ID GEOL 100 Physical Geology introduces the composition and dynamics of Earth from the atomic scale of minerals to the global scale of plate tectonics. Major themes include the composition of minerals and rock, volcanism, Earth structures, earthquakes, erosion and surface processes, geologic time, geologic hazards, and plate tectonics. This course analyzes human interactions with geologic processes and the physical environment.
