    FT 304 Fire Behavior and Combustion Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Prerequisite: None. Advisory: FT 300 with a grade of "C" or better Transferable: CSU General Education: Local GE L5 This course provides the student with theories and fundamentals of how and why fires start, spread and are controlled; an in-depth study of fire chemistry and physics, fire characteristics of materials, extinguishing agents and fire control techniques. This course meets the National Fire Academy, Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) curriculum model for Fire Behavior and Combustion.
