    FITNS 401 Walking I Units: 0.5 - 1 Hours: 54 hours LAB Course Family: Cardio Fitness Prerequisite: None. Transferable: CSU; UC General Education: Local GE L7A Walking I is a physical education course that is designed to instruct the student in the basic fundamentals and techniques of walking for fitness. The course will concentrate on improving the physical capacity and efficiency of the body with the emphasis on development of muscular and cardiovascular endurance as influenced by such factors as body type, diet, health status, and rest, for those beginning their fitness journey.
