    Description
    ENGLT 341 World Literature II Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Prerequisite: ENGL C1000 with a grade of "C" or better, or placement through the assessment process. Transferable: CSU; UC General Education: Local GE L3; Cal-GETC Area 3B C-ID: C-ID ENGL 145 This course offers a survey of world literature in translation from the mid-seventeenth to late-twentieth century. Significant works from Middle Eastern, Western, Asian, African, and North and South American traditions are studied. Students analyze these literatures in representative historical contexts and compare ideas across time, place, and culture to make connections between diverse literary texts, genres, and periods.
