Special attention is placed on the role of a mentor as a reflective practitioner who is open to professional development and who has a keen understanding of classroom practice that is effective and supports individual strengths for children, families and colleagues. This course satisfies the adult supervision requirement for receiving a supervising teacher permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
