    ECE 424 Adult Supervision: Mentoring in a Collaborative Learning Setting Units: 2 Hours: 36 hours LEC Prerequisite: ECE 320 with a grade of "C" or better Transferable: CSU This course is a study of the methods and principles of collaborative learning, with emphasis on supervising adults working in early care and education centers. Special attention is placed on the role of a mentor as a reflective practitioner who is open to professional development and who has a keen understanding of classroom practice that is effective and supports individual strengths for children, families and colleagues. This course satisfies the adult supervision requirement for receiving a supervising teacher permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
