- CISC 305 Introduction to the Internet Units: 1 Hours: 18 hours LEC Prerequisite: None. Advisory: CISC 302 or 310 Transferable: CSU This course is an introduction to how the Internet works and how to effectively use basic Internet services. Topics include browser basics, search engines and search techniques, E-mail, the World Wide Web, Internet security, Internet resources, the Cloud, social networking, and building basic web pages using HTML.
