    Description
    AMT 300 Automotive Fundamentals and Shop Procedures Units: 4 Hours: 45 hours LEC; 81 hours LAB Prerequisite: None. Transferable: CSU This course includes a basic study of vehicles and their mechanical systems including vehicle purchase, vehicle maintenance, vehicle safety systems and the principles and operation of the automotive engine, engine support systems, the drive train, steering, suspension and brakes. This class also explores consumers' legal rights concerning vehicle purchase, repair, replacement and recalls. Hand tools, shop equipment and shop procedures will be demonstrated to familiarize the students with the automotive industry.
