Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionAMT 138 Ford ASSET High Voltage Vehicle Systems Units: 3 Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Prerequisite: AMT 371 with a grade of "C" or better Enrollment Limitation: Students taking this course must be enrolled in the Ford Automotive Student Service Education Training (ASSET) program due to prerequisite Ford Motor Company training requirements. This course is offered to students enrolled in the Ford Automotive Student Service Education Training (ASSET) program. This course covers the theory and operation of Full Hybrid Electric Vehicles (FHEV), Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). High voltage safety will be covered, as well as diagnosis and repair of high voltage batteries and systems. Theory, diagnosis, and repair of electric drive assemblies will also be covered.
