    Total Lecture Hours: 54 Thiscourseprovidesinstructionintheprinciplesofcriticalanalysis and the composition of reasoned, written responses to a variety of social issues that fall within the scope of sociology, anthropology, economics,education,politics,criminology,biology,andthephysical sciences.Bothdeductiveandinductiveformsofreasoningarestudied, including common formal and informal fallacies. Note: The total writing in this course ranges somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000 words, including essay exams.
