    Total Lecture Hours: 54 Thiscourseisachronologicalandthematicsurveyofphilosophy from the ancient Greek period to the contemporary era. The cultural environments, historical milieus of great thinkers, and select philosophical works are considered in order to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of traditional Western and non- Westernphilosophicalconcepts.Bytheapplicationofmajortheories in the disciplines of ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, aesthetics, ontology, and social and political philosophy, students will confront problems in a way that will stimulate critical thinking and develop their analytical skills.
