    Total Lecture Hours: 54 This course considers facts and attitudes related to the maintenance of optimum health for the individual and society. Students study the body as it relates to health, emphasizing modern concepts of prevention, treatment, and cure of degenerative and communicable diseases. Topics include the effects of exercise, fatigue, and diet; emotional and mental well-being; drugs, alcohol, and tobacco; disease etiology and disease prevention; human reproduction and family; and safety in the modern world.
