    Total Lecture Hours: 54 In this course, students examine the political and cultural development of the United States from pre-Columbian America through Reconstruction. The course will focus on the Enlightenment idealsoflibertyasappliedintheformingoftheBritishNorthAmerican coloniesandhowthoseidealsshapedAmericansociety.Studentswill also analyze the changes in technological, social, political, religious, and economic aspects of this American nation.
