    Total Lecture Hours: 54 This course provides fundamental knowledge relating to the field of fire prevention. Students obtain basic information on the history and philosophy of fire prevention, organization and operation of a fire prevention bureau, the use of fire codes, and the identificationandcorrectionoffirehazards.Additionaltopicsinclude fire investigation, and fire and life-safety education. Field trips may be offered throughout the course.
