    Total Lecture Hours: 54 This course examines the laws, regulations, standards, policies, procedures, and best practices related to health, safety, and nutrition in care and education settings for children birth through middle childhood. The course explores the teacher's role in prevention strategies, nutrition and meal planning, integrating health safety and nutritionexperiencesintodailyroutines,andoverallriskmanagement. To comply with outside classroom regulations per SB 792, students are required to show proof of immunizations for MMR and Tdap; and a recent negative TB test result. Formerly known as ECE-044.
