Transfers ToCSUDescriptionTotal Lecture Hours: 18 The course provides students an opportunity to extend their knowledge and understanding of selected topics in biology within the general scope of departmental offerings that are not contained in scheduled courses. The course may be taken for 1 unit, with a maximum of one (1) seminar unit may be accepted for the A.A. or A.S. degree. Course content will be determined by discipline faculty in consultation with the Chief Instructional Officer, and in relation to community/student needs and available staff. At the discretion of the instructor, this course may include lectures, directed study, small group discussions, conferences, special laboratory projects, or field research projects.
