    Description
    Total Lecture Hours: 90 This course continues to build upon the topics, vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills introduced in Elementary American Sign Language I (ASL 001). Students further study specific language and cultural behaviors and learn how to control the pace of a conversation, and are encouraged to apply Deaf culture communicationskillsinavarietyofclassroomandrealisticsituations. Students continue to develop and extend their previously acquired knowledge and skills, as well as focus on developing awareness and culturalsensitivitytoDeafvaluesandnorms.Thiscourseisequivalent to ASL 002A and ASL 002B.
