    Total Lecture Hours: 54 The art of Europe, America, and other world cultures from the late nineteenth century to the present is examined in the context of global pluralism. Students will participate in illustrated lectures on significant movements in painting, sculpture, and architecture beginningwithImpressionismandincludingExpressionism,Cubism, Dada,Surrealism,AbstractExpressionism,andPopArt.Postmodernart and its transitional movements such as Earthworks, PerformanceArt, GraffitiArt,ConceptualArt,Video,FeministandGenderrelatedissues, and Neo-expressionism are included in the course. Contemporary trendsofmulticulturalismandartinthedigitalrealmareinvestigated.
