    Description
    This course will explore the contributions of Chicano/Mexican-American musicians in California and the Southwest during the period of the 1700's to the present and their effects on the social, political, economic, personal and cultural experiences of the Chicano/Mexican-American people. This course will explore issues of identity, history and the social questions of each time period through music, biographies and historical texts.
