Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course presents the fundamentals of newswriting, newsgathering, and news judgment for newspapers and online news media. Emphasis is on accurate, clear and concise writing, organization and structure of news articles, language and style of journalism, reporting and newsgathering, revising and editing articles, and legal and ethical issues as they relate to journalistic reporting. Students will report and write based on their original interviews and research to produce news content. Experiences may include covering speeches, meetings and other events, writing under deadline and use of AP Style.
