Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis course provides academic mentoring, breadth knowledge, and assistance in transferring to four year schools in order to succeed in the biological sciences, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, geology, and technology fields. Students in this class will have an assigned mentor, attend presentations by scientists and engineers from universities, national research laboratories, and industries, and participate in academic field trips with an emphasis on STEM related facilities on Fridays. Students will spend at least two hours per week in academic and/or professional development activities. Students may repeat course until a maximum of 3.0 units has been reached.
