- This course will provide a holistic perspective to substance abuse prevention and treatment. Topics include alcoholism and drug abuse in the context of historical, socioeconomic and cultural trends and the effects on individual, family and societal dynamics. Theoretical models, existing community prevention and treatment services and alternative holistic approaches to prevention and treatment will be provided. Not repeatable.
