    Description
    This course will provide an introduction to hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles. It will include similarities and differences with these vehicles and focus on the Electric Vehicle (EV) modes and components. The course covers high-voltage safety procedures; High voltage battery pack designs and testing. High voltage leak detection testing. Inverter and converter operations and electric motor/generator operation and testing. Technicians certified with Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) L3 Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist or as a Master Technician can obtain credit for prior learning.
