    This course is a study of written English skills that are critical to communicate successfully in a business environment. Focus is placed on English grammar, usage, and sentence structure. BUS 128 � Written Business Communications (CSU) Units: 3 Lecture Hours: 54 Lab Hours: 0 Outside Hours: 108 Grading Method: Letter Credit Status: Credit, degree applicable Conditions of Enrollment: Prerequisite: ENGL C1000 with a minimum grade of C In this course, students will study the theory and practice of functional writing to give them an understanding of the human relations aspects of communication, to help develop logical patterns of organizing ideas, and to aid in achieving clear, concise expression. Practice in writing various types of business letters and reports will be emphasized throughout the course.
