Comprehensive study in the core topics of thermodynamics (including work, heat, 1st and 2nd law of thermodynamics, gases, kinetic theory, heat engines, entropy), optics (including interference, diffraction, geometrical ray optics, and Snell's law), relativity and introduction to modern physics (including Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle and Schrodinger's Equation, atomic & nuclear physics). PHYCS5C is intended for students majoring in physical sciences and engineering.
