    Description
    This course provides the skills and knowledge needed for the fire fighter to take on increased leadership roles and responsibilities pertaining to fire department communications, rescue operations, and fire and life safety initiatives, preparedness and maintenance of power tools. Upon successful completion of FIRE 101A-E and required field hours, students can apply through the State Fire Marshal’s Office for their Firefighter 1 Certificate. Ideally FIRE 101A-E will be completed sequentially within the same semester.
