- This is an advanced, academic English language course for students learning English. Emphasis will be on writing academic essays and developing a research essay based on multiple source materials. The focus will be on advancing academic reading, vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills. This course is designed to prepare students for ENGL1A or ENGL1A:E. Recommendation: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Score 7+
