- As part of the Biology Majors sequence, students learn about photosynthesis, algae, protists, fungi, comparative plant structures and function, homeostasis, development, evolution, phylogeny, and taxonomy of plants. Principles of population and community ecology and ecosystem interactions are emphasized.
