Demonstrate familiarity with the scientific methods used in psychology, including research designs employed, the use of statistics, and ethical guidelines followed. Analyze basic psychological concepts and current research findings related to the areas of biological psychology, perception, cognition, learning, memory, emotion, motivation, development, personality, social psychology, psychological disorders, and therapeutic approaches, and applied psychology. Use hypothesis testing to investigate claims involving one or two samples, utilizing the standard normal distribution, t-distribution, and X2-distribution.
