    Description
    This course will provide students with an overview of the food system, through discussion of the past, present, future industry, with a focus on the United States, and an introduction to the global food system. Through cross-cultural study we analyze how what we eat defines who we are. Identify how social groups are formed by food production, preparation and consumption are examined with attention to socio-economic, gender and race issues. Students will assess careers related to this system, with a focus on food service operations.
