    Description
    This course is designed to develop knowledge and skills required for safe and effective wildland fire behavior prediction. This course introduces fire behavior calculations by manual methods using nomograms and Appendix B of the Fireline Handbook. The student gains an understanding of the determinants of fire behavior through studying input and interpreting fire behavior output. Local and regional environmental differences are stressed. NWCG certified.
