    ENGL C1000 - Academic Reading and Writing Successful completion of ENGL 1001 (C-ID ENGL 100) or equivalent is strongly recommended before taking this course. Outcomes Apply a variety of rhetorical strategies in writing unified, well-organized essays with arguable theses and persuasive support. Compose and revise source-based essays using a variety of rhetorical strategies appropriate for an academic audience. Locate, evaluate, and interpret primary and secondary sources for academic writing.
