Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis is a basic course in art with a primary purpose of familiarizing the students with elements and principles of design and history. It includes the fundamental concepts of line, value, color, shape/form, space, texture, and color in two dimensions. Students will research works of art in all forms including, but not limited to, fine art, graphic art and popular media. Students will develop, through lectures and discussions, design and color projects and oral and written assignments. Students will learn design vocabulary to cultivate intellect, imagination, sensibility and sensitivity, and respond subjectively as well as objectively to aesthetic experiences. (C-ID ARTS100)
