Transfers ToCSUDescriptionAn introduction to hydrology and the science of managing watersheds, water resources and environmental issues. Explore the processes that control water supply to ecosystems, habitat and to human civilizations. Topics include atmospheric inputs, run-off and erosion, storm-flow components, evapotranspiration impacts and groundwater use, the hydrologic cycle, groundwater, threats to water supply and quality, and the effects of global climate change on water resources. Students participate in hands-on field exercises on the evaluation and measurement of water resources with an emphasis on local forested watersheds.Usually HeldFri 10:05am–11:10am, Fri 10:05am–2:25pm, Fri 11:20am–2:30pm
