    Description
    An intermediate level course that teaches layout techniques for a residential construction project. This course will cover the use of leveling instruments and tools used in laying out buildings and establishing grade elevations. Students will also learn to lay out joists, walls, rafters, and basic stair units. Hands-on lab experience will strengthen lecture topics. The study of applied construction math is a component of this course. Note: Due to the technical nature of this course the recommended prep or construction experience is needed to be successful.
