    Description
    This course provides students the opportunity to apply their general understanding of aquaculture to succeed in the industry. Students will focus on understanding and practicing the principles involved in aquaculture management and operating closed, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) as well as other systems for finfish and shellfish. Students will learn about the operation and activities surrounding the care and maintenance of fish stocks, tank systems, and equipment. The course will include in-class lectures, labs, and hands-on experiences with local hatchery and aquaculture facilities.
