    Description
    FIRE 001B is part 2 of 2 courses that meet the requirements of FIRE 001 (Principles of Emergency Services). This course provides students with: an understanding of organizations and functions of public and private fire protection services; fire departments as part of local government; laws and regulations affecting the fire service; specific fire protection functions; introduction to fire protection systems; introduction to fire strategy and tactics; and life safety initiatives. Completion of both FIRE 001A and FIRE 001B will meet the Fire and Emergency Service Higher Education (FESHE) model curriculum for Principles of Emergency Services. Lecture Grading: Letter FIRE 001A.
